Affordable Energy
Our state holds bountiful natural resources, but Alaskans still pay some of the highest energy costs in the country. That’s unacceptable. As Chair of the Senate Resources Committee and Arctic Affairs Committee, I am focused on developing Alaska's oil, gas, and natural resources responsibly, and in ways that actually lower costs for families and businesses.
Schools and Early Education
Every child in Alaska deserves a strong start. I have championed investments in early childhood programs, recognizing that the years from birth to age three are critical for lifelong development. I voted to pass a $700 increase to the Base Student Allocation, expanded funding for pupil transportation, and supported charter school reforms to give families more options. I believe in a public education system that prepares every child to thrive, and in giving local communities the tools to make that happen.
Accessible & Affordable Healthcare
As a Nurse Practitioner who has cared for patients across Anchorage, the MatSu, and rural Alaska, I know firsthand what it means when healthcare is out of reach. I have pushed for prior authorization reforms and insurer accountability to make care more accessible for hardworking families.
Fiscal Responsibility
Alaska's long-term prosperity depends on responsible stewardship of the resources Alaskans share. I believe in a balanced budget that protects core services without placing unsustainable burdens on future generations. I have consistently supported budgets that avoid overdrawing the Permanent Fund, maintain a financial cushion for lean years, and keep Alaska on stable footing so the next generation inherits a state that works.
Investing in Infrastructure
Ports, railroads, transmission lines, roads, and regional energy projects are the backbone of Alaska's communities. I have worked to secure funding for critical infrastructure across district E and the state, connecting communities, supporting local economies, and ensuring Alaskans can get where they need to go safely. I secured legislation improving road access to Chugach State Park, benefiting the more than 1.5 million people who visit each year, and has been a steady advocate for infrastructure investments that build for the future.
